Virginia Hoyt Recognized at Lafayette's All-College Honors Convocation

Virginia Hoyt of Lexington was honored by Lafayette College for academic excellence at the annual All-College Honors Convocation. Awards and prizes were presented to 129 students in all four of Lafayette's academic divisions -- engineering, humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.
Virginia, Class of 2016 Excel Scholar, Marquis Scholar, a graduate of Henry Clay High School, received the American Chemical Society Division of Environmental Chemistry Undergraduate Award in Environmental Chemistry, presented to a student who has demonstrated excellence in research, coursework and motivation in the study of environmental chemistry by the Department of Chemistry.
Lia Mandaglio Parifax '08, managing director of a global advisory firm specializing in LGBT talent and business development, served as keynote speaker.
