Julia Kripas Graduates from Lafayette College

Julia Kripas of Harrisburg, PA graduated summa cum laude from Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. and earned a bachelor of science in civil engineering .

Erik Weihenmayer, world renowned blind adventurer, author, and filmmaker was the principal speaker.

"What if adversity weren't the enemy, but the pathway, the pathway to change?" asked Weihenmayer in his speech. "The light within you is stronger than the barriers in your way...Commit to nurturing that light."

President Alison Byerly conferred degrees upon the graduates and delivered farewell remarks.

Lafayette is a top liberal arts college with 2,400 students and 215 full-time faculty that offers a wide variety of undergraduate degree programs including engineering.
